Maria Bartiromo’s time at Fox News and Fox Business is over.

Bartiromo is leaving after more than 12 years at the cable news giant, Fox said on Thursday afternoon.

Fox didn’t explain why it was parting ways with its star anchor.

“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” Fox said in a statement.

The company said that Bartiromo’s “Mornings with Maria” program on Fox Business will be replaced by “Mornings with FOX Business,” featuring rotating anchors.

Bartiromo also hosted “Sunday Morning Futures” on Fox News, which the network said would be helmed this weekend by anchor and former Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz.

Before joining Fox, Bartiromo spent more than 20 years at CNBC, where she was nicknamed Wall Street’s “Money Honey.” At CNBC, Bartiromo focused on business news and wasn’t seen as political.

Bartiromo is now known for her close ties to President Donald Trump.

Bartiromo’s on-air comments about the 2020 election were referenced in the defamation lawsuit brought by voting systems company Dominion against Fox. Dominion alleged that Fox News allowed anchors like Bartiromo to knowingly make false claims about the company’s role in administering the 2020 election.

Fox settled the case for $787.5 million in 2023. Fox previously said in a statement that it was “pleased to have reached a settlement” with Dominion and said that “the Court’s rulings finding certain claims about Dominion to be false.”
